Jade Beshire, Social Work Intern (they/them)
I incorporate evidence-based practices into both short and long-term therapeutic treatment for adult (18+) individuals. My goal is to provide a collaborative environment to deepen your understanding of self, alleviate stress, confront challenges and create change. I bring a relational and strength-based approach to therapy, and am committed to providing a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive framework as we explore your narrative.
Education:
Enrolled at Portland State University in Masters of Social Work (MSW) Program
As as a student intern, my work is overseen by Amy Welsh LCSW Oregon License # L4641 Washington License # LW61202409
As a nonbinary and queer individual I strive to create an affirming and nonjudgmental space where you feel empowered to show up authentically. My training in attachment and systems theories encourages me to remain curious about the ways in which your relationships and environment influence your emotions, thoughts, behaviors and patterns. As a certified yoga teacher I’m able to incorporate somatic practices such as breathwork, grounding, meditation, mindfulness and other nervous system regulation techniques, if desired.
