Counseling Intern
I believe a person is an expert in their own life and I seek to provide a space for client self-reflection and exploration. As people navigate their lives and experience challenges, they may fall into patterns of maladaptive thinking. Our brains can distort things and trick us into thinking and acting in a way that is not necessarily the most productive for a healthy life. Through self-reflection and exploration, we can pinpoint the areas where your thoughts may be getting you stuck and work on challenging those patterns, learning new coping strategies, and making positive changes in your life.

I am currently enrolled in the EdD in Sport and Performance Psychology with Clinical Mental Health Counseling Specialization Program at the University of Western States. I earned my Master's Degree in Applied Sport Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I have been working with high achieving athletes on the challenges of training and competing for more than five years. Connecting with individuals is the foundation for my professional and personal life. I coach at a local junior rowing club in Portland helping aspiring young athletes. In my free time you might find me riding my bike or with my headphones blaring some of my favorite albums.
