Amy Welsh, LCSW (she/her)

I focus on short term, evidence-based treatment for trauma and anxiety disorders. When we have experienced difficult or traumatic events, those experiences can create beliefs about ourselves, our lives, and our potential for healing that can get stuck and hold us back from the changes we need to make. I believe that your approach to things can be different as you can learn feel confident trusting in yourself. When negative thoughts arise, they won’t feel like the absolute truth and you can rebuild your life.

About Me

I am energetic, passionate, straightforward, and don’t skirt around issues or avoid addressing what’s needed. Most of my clients are skilled at talking about their problems but need help thinking about their problems differently. Working in high acuity settings has made me comfortable with holding you accountable to the work. I genuinely want you to feel better. We will find some humor and develop good metaphors along the way as the journey to healing is hard and painful work, but you don’t have to suffer getting there.
